Music at First
First Presbyterian Concert Series

Concerts are held in the sanctuary, and are well attended by members of our church and guests from the community. Attendees are invited to join us for a reception honoring the performers immediately after the concert in our fellowship hall.   First Presbyterian Church is handicap accessible and all concerts are FREE.

The
Dublin Flute Choir

Sunday, July 20
3:00 pm

This Flute Choir is part of a larger group, the Dublin Community Band, located in Dublin, Ohio.  As a small ensemble, the performers typically play concerts in a variety of venues - outdoors, in schools, churches, hospitals, and with diverse programs of symphonic arrangements, patriotic music, and from the large archive composed for wind ensembles. For this program we will hear the Allegro from Symphony No. 5 by Franz Schubert, Five Sincere Expressions by S. Yagisawa, Twilight by Herman Beeftink, Songs of the Ocean by Ryohei Hirose, and The Butterfly by Denis Barbier. Many of you know Mary Ragna & Erich Yetter's daughter, Clara Ferance.  This is her group!

About the flutists:

   ..

Dorianne Deitrick

By day, Dorianne leads complex programs at Nationwide Financial with precision and poise; by night, she takes center stage as an aspiring flute professional, turning breath into brilliance. Who says spreadsheets and sonatas can’t share the spotlight?

Annika Chura

Annika studied music at Case Western Reserve University, where she graduated in 2019. Currently, she is a molecular biology PhD student at The Ohio State University. Although now a scientist by day, she still loves performing and playing music whenever she can!

Lisa Davenport

Lisa lives in Grove City, Ohio with her husband Bob and has 2 grown children. In addition to playing her flute as much as possible she also enjoys camping, traveling and gardening.

Nancy Luikart

Nancy is the Music Director at the Dublin Community Church, leading children and adults in creating music for prayer and praise through choirs, bell choirs and instrumental ensembles. As a musician she wears a lot of hats: conductor, teacher, flutist, guitarist, singer, arranger, piano player. But at home, she's also a creative cook, gardener, loving wife and mother.

Sarah Corriveau

Sarah is a retired neonatologist who dedicated her career to caring for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients. Now, embracing a more melodic chapter of life, she finds joy and healing in playing the flute with a variety of ensembles. Music has become not just a passion, but a deeply therapeutic expression of her lifelong care and creativity.

Clara Ferance

Clara studied English and Music at Kenyon College and holds a long-standing passion for the arts. Based out of Columbus, Ohio where she lives with her husband Nicholas, she balances her musical pursuits with a career in digital marketing. In her spare time, Clara enjoys writing poetry, dancing, and trying out new recipes!
